Tancast 8 core plinth

The Planar 6 plinth is built around a Tancast 8 foam core held between two rigid skins. Double brace technology ties the arm base to the central bearing of the platter. The whole is held to 5.2 kg for 447 x 120 x 360 mm, dust cover closed.

Neo PSU external power supply

The turntable is supplied with its Neo PSU power supply, factory-matched and connected by a mini DIN socket. This 180 x 50 x 155 mm case drives the low-noise 24 V motor. The EBLT Reference drive belt is fitted as standard.

Nude elliptical diamond

The Nd5 receives a nude diamond of elliptical profile carried by an aluminium cantilever. Its nominal output voltage of 5 to 6 mV suits moving magnet phono inputs. Tracking force is 1.75 g.

Three-point fixing

The rigid, light PPS body houses a neodymium magnet and miniaturised parallel coils. Rega's own three-point fixing gives repeatable alignment on the RB330 arm. The cartridge is supplied with the turntable but is not pre-fitted at the factory. Every example is hand-assembled, in 100% recyclable packaging.
