Thirty watts in ULTIMA

The Suzi Amp uses the brand's ULTIMA amplification topology in a reduced-size chassis. It delivers 30 W per channel into 8 ohms. Total harmonic distortion is stated as 0.01% and the signal-to-noise ratio as −116 dB.

Inputs and outputs

The unit has two pairs of RCA inputs, one of them reserved for the Hugo 2. Power is delivered through a pair of 4 mm banana sockets. A 12 V DC output links it to other Chord devices, and the power supply accepts 80 to 250 V.

Removable cover

The solid aluminium cover comes off to reveal the connections that directly receive a Suzi Pre or a Hugo 2. The 3.5 and 6.35 mm headphone outputs then become active. Two polychrome buttons on the front control power-on and AV bypass mode.
