Pair of Cardas Clear Beyond interconnect cables with CG XLR plugs, blue jacket coiled up

The top of the range

The Clear Beyond comes as a pair with a blue jacket, shown here in XLR version. It is Cardas' flagship interconnect cable, with its most accomplished Matched Propagation conductors. The brand claims clear progress in spatial imaging, dynamics and bass impact, with a fully neutral balance.

Balanced CG XLR connection

At 13 mm in diameter, the Clear Beyond calls for a redesigned version of the CG XLR plug for the balanced connection. The photo shows a CG XLR plug taken apart, parts and body separate. This size comes from the cable's reinforced shielding and air-tube suspension.

SRCA RCA termination

In the RCA version, the Clear Beyond is fitted with the SRCA plug with an XRCA 13 adapter, shown here from the inside with its spring. Behind these plugs, four 26.5 AWG Star-Quad conductors, with strands from 47 to 39 AWG, are suspended by LDPE and PTFE air tubes.
