The Clear Sky comes as a pair with a blue jacket and RCA plugs. It is Cardas' least expensive interconnect cable to use Matched Propagation conductors. The maker describes its sound as transparent, dynamic and neutral, on short and long runs alike.
Cardas terminates the RCA version of the Clear Sky with GRMO plugs. In the photo, the plug shows a gold-plated body and a knurled ring. It takes a cable 9.27 mm in diameter, jacketed in Alcryn rubber.
Under the cover of the GRMO plug sit the internal parts visible here. The two 23.5 AWG conductors connected to it are in Grade 1 copper 99.9999% pure, built around a Kevlar core. An ultra-thin FEP tape insulates them, and non-conductive air tubes separate them from the braided shield.
The male and female XLR plugs in this photo are Cardas CE. Cardas now fits them as standard on the balanced Clear Sky. The RCA version is fitted with the Cardas GRMO plug.
