Four 3-inch full-range drivers radiate all around the cabinet, and an 8-inch subwoofer takes care of the bass. The stated response covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz, enough to fill a large room or a garden with sound that favours no direction. An EQ Boost function works alongside this spatial presentation.
Bluetooth LE Audio brings Auracast: one transmitter feeds several VIBES or other compatible sonoro systems, playing in sync without an internet connection. The standard link runs over Bluetooth 5.4 with the SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD and LC3 codecs. The full set of LE Audio features will be enabled later through a software update.
The battery lasts up to 16 hours at normal volume, whether on the terrace, by the pool or around a barbecue. The cabinet is IPX4 certified. Splashing water and a short shower will not stop it.
At 73.1 cm tall and 12.3 kg, the VIBES XL is moved by its powder-coated aluminium handle. A polyester-yarn fabric covers the cabinet, pleasant to look at and robust. The VIBES Remote app for iOS and Android sets the equaliser, power on and off, and pairing of several speakers.
