The Phono Box S2 handles each channel in a dual-mono configuration, with audiophile-grade amplification modules and WIMA polypropylene capacitors. It accepts MM and MC cartridges alike. Its RIAA equalisation is accurate within less than 0.4 dB.
Switches on the bottom of the casing set input impedance from 10 ohms to 47 kohms and capacitance from 100 to 420 pF. Four gain levels are available: 40, 43, 60 and 63 dB. A switchable subsonic filter attenuates by 12 dB at 20 Hz.
The aluminium and metal sandwich casing protects the electronics from electromagnetic interference and vibration. It is 10.3 cm wide and weighs 570 g. It connects through one pair of RCA sockets and comes in black or silver.
