Phono MC Preampli

The aura is the reference phono preamplifier of Rega, dedicated to mobile coil cells. Rega The voluntarily stripped it from any superfluous function: each added circuit extends the signal path. The device weighs 13 kg in a box designed for it alone.

Adjustable load, five values

The input impedance is set to 50, 100, 150, 300 or 400 ohms, and capacitive load on 1000, 2000, 3200, 4300 or 5700 Picofarads. Two gain settings are proposed: 69.5 dB and 63.5 dB. What to give the floor to any low-level mobile coil cell.

Facade controls and rotary selectors

Riaa curve at 0.2 dB

The RIAA correction holds 0.2 dB of 100 Hz to 50 kHz. The bandwidth extends from 13.5 Hz to -3 dB up to 100 kHz to -0.2 dB, and the distortion is limited to 0.03%. These figures have the gap to the theoretical curve well below what the ear distinguishes.

Three symmetrical floors

The retained architecture sets three floors, all symmetrical, the first gain at the exit. The cabinet measures 43.5 cm wide, 8.8 cm high and 35 cm deep. Like any product Rega, the aura is covered by the lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
