Nude Microline diamond and cantilever, macro shot

Nude Microline stylus

The M series drops the elliptical for a nude Microline diamond, whose profile mimics the cutting stylus used to master the record. Contact follows the groove more closely and retrieves detail an elliptical leaves behind, across a frequency response of 12 Hz to 45 kHz. The diamond is nude, so there is no bonding shank to add mass.

Delrin body, brass top plate

The body is injection-moulded in Delrin, an engineering polymer chosen for how it damps resonances. A machined brass top plate closes it and brings the cartridge to 9.5 grams, with threaded inserts that take the headshell screws directly. Mounting is metal against metal, with no nut to hold blind.

2 mV output, cold-treated circuit

The MH delivers 2 mV at 130 ohms and is loaded at 47 kilohms, so it takes the place of a moving-magnet cartridge with no extra preamp. The front yoke and the centre and rear parts of the Alnico magnetic circuit go through a cryogenic treatment that makes the flux more even. Channel separation reaches 30 dB at 1 kHz, with channel balance below 1 dB.
