High-output moving-coil cartridge: 2 mV into an MM phono input, elliptical stylus and aluminium cantilever, 5 grams.

The EH puts out 2 mV at 1 kHz, the level of a moving-magnet cartridge. You can therefore connect it to the MM phono input of an integrated amplifier or AV receiver, with no step-up transformer and no MC phono stage. Load impedance is the standard 47 kilohms that every MM input already provides.
Beneath the moss-green body, a cross-coil generator replaces the conventional layout. The more direct coupling between armature and coils holds the bass and drum attacks where an entry-level cartridge sags. Channel separation reaches 25 dB at 1 kHz.
The elliptical diamond sits on an aluminium cantilever. The assembly tracks 70 micrometres at 2 grams, enough for the most heavily modulated grooves of a rock or orchestral record without mistracking. Frequency response runs from 15 Hz to 25 kHz.
The EH weighs 5 grams. That makes it a match for the light tonearms of entry-level and mid-range turntables, whose counterweight cannot go low enough to balance a 9 or 10 gram cartridge. Tracking force is set at 2 grams.
