The Speaker Box 3 E stands 16 cm high, 10.6 cm wide and 15.2 cm deep, and weighs 1.37 kg. Pro-Ject designed it to deliver real stereo where people often settle for a mono Bluetooth speaker or a soundbar. It works as a desktop monitor or as a home cinema speaker, and a wall bracket is available separately.
This 2-way bass-reflex design pairs a 0.75 inch silk dome tweeter with a 3 inch fibre glass bass/mid driver. Frequency response runs from 89 Hz to 20 kHz. Pro-Ject highlights its low coloration and good transparency.
Bass is reinforced by a bass-reflex port that opens at the back of the cabinet. The gold-plated terminals accept banana plugs. With 4 ohms and 85 dB (1 W / 1 m), it suits an amplifier of 10 to 80 W, and the brand recommends at least 10 W per channel, such as a Stereo Box S3 BT or a MaiA S3.
The Speaker Box 3 E comes in high gloss black, white and walnut. Its MDF cabinet is built to avoid resonance, and magnetic grilles are included. It is sold individually, so a stereo pair needs two.
