The Wharfedale SUPER DENTON is a three-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker with a 6.5 inch Kevlar woofer and two soft domes. It covers 52 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB) and is sold individually.
The SUPER DENTON divides the spectrum between three drivers: a 6.5 inch (165 mm) woofer with a black woven Kevlar cone, a 2 inch (50 mm) soft-dome midrange and a 1 inch (25 mm) soft-dome tweeter. The crossover points fall at 940 Hz and 4.6 kHz. Response covers 52 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB).
The speaker measures 36.0 cm high including its base, 24.6 cm wide and 29.5 cm deep, terminals included. It weighs 9.2 kg each. Three finishes are offered: antique walnut, black oak and mahogany red.
The 14.7 L cabinet works as a bass-reflex design and extends the bass down to 40 Hz (-6 dB). A black cloth grille protects the front.
Two ports and a pair of binding posts are on the rear. Sensitivity reaches 87 dB (2.83 V, 1 m) and peak level 103 dB. Nominal impedance of 6 Ω (compatible with 8 Ω) drops to a minimum of 3.4 Ω, and you drive the speaker with a 25 to 120 W amplifier.
