The Cinema 70s Serie 2 stands 109 mm tall, against 165 mm for the other two models in the range. Its 442 mm width matches standard hi-fi furniture and its depth reaches 372 mm without the aerials. The unit weighs 8.7 kg.
Seven amplification stages deliver 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms, and 70 watts into 6 ohms. Two independent subwoofer outputs complete the 7.2 configuration. Decoding covers Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and height virtualisation, useful where the ceiling cannot be fitted with speakers.
Six HDMI inputs, three of them rated for 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz, feed a single output to the television. eARC carries the television sound back to the amplifier over that same cable. ALLM and VRR pass through untouched for games consoles.
The HEOS platform sends music to other rooms and gathers the streaming services into a single application. An FM/AM tuner, an MM phono input and Audyssey MultEQ XT calibration are built in, with a Dirac Live upgrade available. The unit comes in Black and Silver Gold.
