At 85 cm high, 16.5 cm wide and 25 cm deep, the FORTE A55 WIFI is the floorstanding version of the FORTE series. Each speaker combines a 1 inch soft dome tweeter with two 5 inch bass drivers. Bass reaches down to 35 Hz, with response up to 20,000 Hz within ± 3 dB.
The HDMI ARC input connects the pair to the television with a single cable for films, series and games. An optical input takes other digital sources, and a subwoofer output lets you add a subwoofer. The supplied remote control lets you operate the speakers from the sofa.
The 4 x 80 W Class D amplification follows a fully digital signal path. The bass drivers use a custom two-layer cone, and the tweeter a neodymium magnet. A turntable with an MM cartridge plugs into the built-in phono input, next to an RCA analogue input.
Built-in Wi-Fi gives access to Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, lossless Spotify Connect and DTS Play-Fi, at up to 24-bit / 96 kHz. Bluetooth 4.2 supports the AAC and SBC codecs. The pair comes with a 5 m speaker cable, power cable, magnetic front covers and felt pads.
