The Canadian brand Anthem is known and renowned for its upscale home cinema amplifiers. Capacity current current and with a very sharp acoustic correction system, theAnthem Str is an integrated amplifier stereo with an elegant industrial design with a minimalist interface complemented by a large TFT screen. It replaces the venerable Integrated 225, which derives from more than 10 years of good and loyal services.
One of the peculiarities of the product is the integration of the arc (Athem Room Correction), the acoustic correction device that the Canadian brand has been developing for many years. Initially implemented for the home cinema for which it proved itself, it optimizes the experience of listening thanks to the compensation of the response curve in function of the geometry of the room, the placement of the speakers and their characteristics.
THEAnthem STR has an integrated phono preamp compatible with MM and MC cells. The purists will be delighted to learn that it has a direct analog mode. Its DAC is compatible with the 32-bit PCM / 384 KHz and DSD 2.8 / 5.6 MHzon the USB and 24bit / 192KHz input on digital inputs.
THEAnthem Str also has a very big capacity. The diet is ensured by a big transformer toroidal. Capable of supplying difficult loads, its power of 225W under 8 ohms is almost doubled under 4 ohms.
