Power in a compact format

The Stereo Box DS3 takes up Pro-Ject's classic stereo integrated amplifier formula. It delivers 2 x 150 W into 4 ohms and 2 x 80 W into 8 ohms, enough to drive most speakers with ease. Its design follows the dual-mono principle.

Phono, line and Bluetooth inputs

The phono input accepts MM cartridges, with 40 dB of gain, or MC, with 60 dB. Three RCA line inputs take a CD player, a tuner or any other analogue source. Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD completes the set for music from a smartphone.

Headphones, subwoofer and trigger

The headphone output delivers 2 x 450 mW into 32 ohms. A variable RCA output takes a subwoofer or a second amplifier, and a fixed output feeds a recorder without going through the volume control. The analogue volume uses a motor-driven potentiometer, controlled from the supplied remote, and a trigger input and output is fitted.

Machined aluminium, handmade

The electronics sit in a machined all-aluminium case that shields them from interference. The Stereo Box DS3 is designed and handmade in Europe, in black or silver. It measures 20.6 x 7.1 x 19.4 cm and weighs 1.8 kg, and magnetic wooden side panels are available separately.
