Four line entries

The rear aligns four line entries, a symmetrical input on XLR, a direct input and a recording output to 215 mV over 100 kilohms. The gain reaches 44 dB and the distortion remains in 0.05%. A reference CNC remote control and a reference sector cord accompany the device.

Passive preamp

The topology retained places a passive volume control and a single amplification stage between entry and speakers. Eight 200 W Sanken output transistors work upside down "triple" highlight, enough to hold the most difficult charges. Nichicon capacitors of audio quality occupy the decoupling positions.

Two toroidal 400 goes

Two 400 VA toroidal transformers mounted according to a technique specific to Rega which prevents the sound from going to the frame, feed each channel with 40,000 "K-Power" smoothing microfarads. The chassis measures 43.4 x 12.2 x 35 cm for 560 W of consumption. The device does not have a standby: its polarization requires a stable operating temperature.
