The Parsec Headphone braids four 23.5 AWG conductors in a star-quad geometry, held together by a carbon-loaded FEP tape. Each conductor is a Litz bundle of Grade 1 oxygen-free copper, 99.9999% pure, under SPN enamel and a PFA jacket. This construction stays close to the first Cardas headphone cable, released in 2003.
On the amplifier side, the standard termination is the Cardas 6.35 mm stereo jack. It plugs straight into the headphone output of an amplifier or a player. Other plugs are available on request from Cardas.
On the headphone side, Cardas fits the Sennheiser HD650 connectors as standard. They replace the original cable without any modification to the headphones. The brand considers the combinations of headphones and amplifiers too numerous to publish a list of the other terminations.
The Alcryn rubber outer jacket makes the cable very flexible and keeps it from snagging on clothing. Its outer diameter is 5.21 mm. The length is chosen from the menu on the product page.
