The Void Acoustics Tri Motion passive PA speaker combines a 15-inch woofer, an 8-inch midrange and a 1.5-inch compression driver behind three triangular horns. It disperses 90° × 60° and mounts on a wall, a ceiling or a pole.

Three bi-amplified ways

A 15-inch woofer, an 8-inch midrange and a 1.5-inch compression driver share the spectrum. The woofer and the mid-high section each have their own amplifier channel, for 700 W AES on one side and 250 W AES on the other. The response runs from 125 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB), with a maximum level of 135 dB continuous and 141 dB peak.

Triangular waveguides

Three triangular horns control the directivity of the whole unit. Nominal dispersion is 90° horizontally and 60° vertically. Sensitivity is 107 dB (1 W, 1 m) for the woofer and 110 dB for the mid-high section. The low-resonance fibreglass composite cabinet limits stray vibration.

Mounting and connection

The built-in frame takes a U bracket for the ceiling, the wall, floor stacking, a truss or a pole. The compact profile allows installation close to the ceiling. Two locking 4-pin connectors, one for the input and the other for the link to the next speaker, let you pre-wire the line. Nominal impedance is 8 Ω per way and the manufacturer recommends at least a Bias Q2+ amplifier.

RAL and KROME finishes

Smooth cellulose covers the cabinet in red, black or white as standard, and RAL or KROME shades are possible on request. The unit measures 810 × 515 × 720 mm and weighs 47.1 kg, which takes two people to lift. An FIR preset is optimised for Void amplifiers.
