Wilson Raptor X: closed 2-way Dolby Atmos speaker, to place on a tower speaker or wall-mount, in black or white finish. A 25 mm soft-dome tweeter and a 10 cm driver cover 80 Hz to 20 kHz.
This speaker adds a height layer to a home cinema system. It reproduces the height effects of Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D and DTS:X soundtracks, with a compatible multichannel AV amplifier. In the photo, an angled speaker sits on top of each tower.
The top of the cabinet is angled to send the sound toward the ceiling. You place the speaker directly on a tower, or you fix it to the wall with the supplied wall bracket. Rubber feet are supplied with it. It pairs with Raptor speakers, such as the Raptor 7, as well as with those of other brands.
A 25 mm soft-dome tweeter and a 10 cm driver share the spectrum, with a crossover frequency of 2,500 Hz. The aluminium coils limit heating at high volume. The bandwidth extends from 80 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB), for a sensitivity of 83 dB. Its impedance is 4 to 8 ohms, for a recommended amplifier of 25 to 100 W.
The cabinet comes in black ash or white ash, with a visible wood structure. A black grille in acoustically neutral fabric hides the drivers. Gold-plated screw terminals ensure a secure cable connection. It measures 19.5 cm wide, 27.8 cm high and 15 cm deep, and weighs 2.6 kg.
