The SE9 MP Speaker is limited to two Matched Propagation conductors, 15 AWG each, wound concentrically. Their Grade 1 OFHC copper, in Litz under SPN enamel, is braided on a Kevlar core and protected by a PTFE tape. Cardas considers this stripped-down approach one of its successes, and the cable sounds much bigger than it looks.
At 7.35 mm in diameter, with a very flexible TPE rubber jacket, it is the slimmest cable in this Cardas selection. It fits narrow passages, behind a piece of furniture or along a bookcase. Cardas intends it for low- and medium-power amplifiers paired with efficient speakers.
The SE9 MP is fitted with CGMS spades hand-soldered in the Cardas workshop in Bandon, Oregon. It does not exist in an internal bi-wiring version.
As an alternative, the CABD dual banana comes from the same workshop, hand-soldered. A bridge joins its two plugs, which enter the speaker's binding posts together.
