DC offset correction

The DC Block removes the DC component that unbalances the sine wave of the mains. This asymmetry saturates toroidal transformers and causes a mechanical hum. The DC Block restores a symmetrical waveform at the input of the connected component.

Audio-grade mains filter

A filter circuit handles the radio-frequency and electromagnetic interference of the mains. Differential-mode and common-mode noise are attenuated separately. The noise floor of the powered component falls.

Load and protection

The IEC input and output accept a maximum load of 8 A. Overload protection steps in if the limit is exceeded. The universal power supply accepts 100 to 240 V, at 50 or 60 Hz.

The case measures 113 x 59 x 140 mm and weighs 700 grams. An IEC C13-C14 cable and a mains cord are supplied. Two finishes are available, black and silver.
