The Klipschorn is the speaker Paul W. Klipsch designed in 1946 and the one that founded the brand. Each of its three drivers is coupled to a horn optimised for its frequency band. This approach makes it up to 20 times more efficient than a conventional speaker.
The neodymium tweeter has a 1 inch polyimide diaphragm and a copper-clad aluminium voice coil. The midrange uses a 1.5 inch compression driver on a high-efficiency exponential horn. The midrange gains power and presence.
The bass horn has been redesigned and is now fully enclosed. The speaker no longer needs to stand in a corner of the room. Placement becomes more flexible.
A raised base lifts the speaker and hides the cables. The aluminium input panel accepts cables of any length and gauge. The Klipschorn is assembled in Hope, Arkansas.
