Wilson Raptor 5: 2-way bass-reflex floorstanding speaker with a 25 mm soft-dome tweeter and two 5-inch drivers. It covers 50 Hz to 20 kHz with a sensitivity of 88 dB.
The Wilson Raptor 5 is a floorstanding speaker sold individually: two units make a stereo pair. The cabinet measures 17 × 83.9 × 26.3 cm and weighs 9.9 kg. It stands on either side of a TV unit without crowding the room.
A 25 mm soft-dome tweeter and two 5-inch drivers share the spectrum, with a crossover frequency of 2400 Hz. The bass-reflex port opens on the front, below the drivers. The response covers 50 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB).
With 88 dB sensitivity (2.83 V / 1 m) and an impedance of 4 to 8 ohms, it pairs with common stereo amplifiers. An amplifier of 40 to 150 W is recommended, for a maximum level of 108 dB. Connection is by single wiring.
The cabinet comes in black or white, in a wood-effect vinyl covering with a glossy front. A black fabric grille, acoustically transparent, protects the drivers. Spikes are supplied to stabilise the tower.
