The Platinum 300 3G is the three-way that heads the Platinum series. It measures 1131.1 x 429.8 x 525 mm with spikes and weighs 53.6 kg each. Etched inlays decorate it.
Two 8-inch RDT III woofers handle the low end up to 650 Hz. A 4-inch RDT III midrange then covers the band up to 3 kHz, where the MPD III tweeter takes over.
The port opens at the rear and is tuned to 32 Hz. Response reaches 25 Hz free-field and 17 Hz in a room, at -6 dB. Leave some space behind the speaker.
Monitor Audio recommends 200 to 800 W for this floorstander, with 400 W continuous handling. Sensitivity is 88 dB for 2.83 V at one metre. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms, minimum 4.0 ohms at 3.75 kHz.
