The Platinum 200 3G is a slim three-way floorstander: 368.7 mm wide and 1041.6 mm tall with spikes. It weighs 35.8 kg each. Finishes are Pure Satin White, Piano Black and Piano Ebony.
A 4-inch RDT III midrange covers the band from 825 Hz to 3 kHz. Two 6-inch RDT III woofers work below it, the MPD III tweeter above. Response extends to 60 kHz at -6 dB.
The port, tuned to 38 Hz, extends the bass to 32 Hz free-field. In a room, response reaches 23 Hz at -6 dB. Sensitivity is 88 dB for 2.83 V at one metre.
The base combines a cast outrigger with a plinth that houses the crossover. Monitor Audio recommends 150 to 600 W, with 300 W continuous handling. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms, with a minimum of 4.0 ohms at 2.5 kHz.
