The Gold 300 6G stands 1098 mm tall, 339 mm wide and 463 mm deep, for 21.2 kg. Its footprint and width are smaller than those of the Gold 500 6G. It sits on cast aluminium outriggers. Finishes: High Gloss Black, Satin White and Macassar.
Two 6-inch HDT C-CAM woofers work below 800 Hz. A 76 mm C-CAM midrange then covers the band up to 2.7 kHz. The MPD III tweeter handles everything above, out to 60 kHz.
The HiVe II port is tuned to 35 Hz. Response reaches 45 Hz at -6 dB free-field, then 28 Hz once the speaker is in a room. Peak SPL reaches 117 dB.
Sensitivity is 87 dB for 2.83 V at one metre. The 4 ohm nominal impedance dips to 3.9 ohms at 165 Hz, a load the amplifier has to hold. Monitor Audio recommends 130 to 500 W; continuous power handling is 250 W.
