The Silver 300 8G is a three-way floorstander. Two 6-inch C-CAM bass drivers work below 610 Hz, a 3-inch C-CAM midrange takes over up to 3.3 kHz, then the 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter. Bass and midrange drivers share RST III cone geometry.
In-room response reaches down to 30 Hz and up to 35 kHz, at -6 dB. The Silent Flow port, tuned to 41 Hz, smooths airflow and reduces distortion in the bass.
The speaker stands on a new outrigger system fitted with spikes. It keeps the 1020 mm tall, 19.3 kg cabinet steady on the floor. Through-bolt bracing stiffens the cabinet and limits its own resonances. Finishes are High Gloss Black, Satin White and European Walnut.
Sensitivity is 88 dB for 2.83 V at one metre. Monitor Audio recommends 50 to 200 W into 8 ohms, or 100 to 400 W into 4 ohms. Peak level reaches 116 dB, and impedance hits its 3.9-ohm minimum around 3 kHz.
