The Wharfedale ELYSIAN 3R is a three-way bass-reflex floorstanding speaker with two 7-inch woofers, a 6-inch midrange driver and an AMT tweeter. It covers 44 Hz to 22 kHz (±3 dB) and is sold individually.
The ELYSIAN 3R is the compact floorstanding speaker of the ELYSIAN R series. It stands 105 cm tall on its base, 26.3 cm wide and 31.5 cm deep, terminals included. Each speaker weighs 28.45 kg. The bass-reflex cabinet has quoted volumes of 9.4 L and 35 L.
Two 7-inch (180 mm) woofers and a 6-inch (150 mm) midrange driver each use a coated glass-fibre matrix cone. The crossover points are 375 Hz and 2.9 kHz. Bass extension reaches 35 Hz at -6 dB.
The nominal impedance of 4 Ω, compatible with 8 Ω, drops to a minimum of 3.2 Ω. Sensitivity reaches 89 dB (2.83 V, 1 m). Drive the speaker with an amplifier rated 30 to 200 W, for a peak level of 108 dB.
The 27 × 90 mm AMT tweeter takes over from 2.9 kHz. The response extends from 44 Hz to 22 kHz (±3 dB). The speaker comes in black, grey and light walnut.
