Wilson Exclusive Line EL-8: bass-reflex floorstanding speaker in black or white high-gloss lacquer. A 25 mm dome and 165 mm cellulose cones cover 40 Hz to 20 kHz.
The slim cabinet receives a black or white piano lacquer. Its rigid construction limits cabinet resonances. It fits a living room as well as a dedicated listening room. The whole Exclusive Line series is covered by a ten-year warranty.
A soft 25 mm dome reproduces the treble, and drivers with 165 mm cellulose cones take over. The crossover splits the bands at 700 Hz and 2,500 Hz. The response extends from 40 Hz to 20 kHz, at ±3 dB.
Magnets hold the grilles to the front, with no visible pegs. Black, sound-transparent grilles come with the speaker. A grey pair is offered as an accessory, and storage is provided when you remove them.
With 91 dB sensitivity and an impedance of 4 to 8 ohms, the EL-8 suits amplifiers from 50 to 220 W. The maximum level reaches 110 dB. Spikes are supplied with the speaker, designed for large rooms as well as placement close to the wall.
