The Talisman-R pairs a 27 mm silk dome tweeter on a neodymium motor with a 170 mm NS+ driver developed by Ruark. An optimised second-order crossover joins them at 2.2 kHz, using audio film capacitors and low-loss inductors. Response runs from 40 Hz to 22 kHz under real in-room conditions.
The bass-mid driver carries the treated fibre cone of the NS+ series. Its two-layer copper voice coil measures 35 mm and works in a strontium ferrite motor. Sensitivity of 87 dB at 2.83 V and 1 m and a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, with a 3.8 ohm minimum at 5 kHz, leave room for an amplifier of 50 to 250 W.
The 14.5 litre bass-reflex cabinet is tuned to 42 Hz and breathes through two flared ports. The baffle is decoupled from the enclosure to limit the vibration the driver passes into it. Each speaker measures 850 x 210 x 250 mm and weighs 17.6 kg.
The gold-plated multi-way binding posts accept banana plugs, spades or bare wire, in single or bi-wire configuration. Decoupling spikes and adjustable rubber feet are supplied to level the cabinet on wood or carpet. The baffle comes in Fused Walnut or Satin Charcoal, always on a charcoal enclosure with a mottled fabric grille. Sold individually, with a minimum order of two.
