The 802 D5 is built for reference stereo listening as much as for breathtaking home cinema. It carries a large share of the 801 D5's quality on a noticeably smaller footprint.
It takes the same diamond dome tweeter as the 801 D5, housed in a Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top. The break-up frequency pushed to 70 kHz keeps the treble open and precisely drawn.
The FST midrange driver with its Continuum cone is decoupled inside a Turbine Head. This architecture keeps the midrange away from cabinet vibration and gives it a rare transparency.
Two 200 mm Aerofoil bass drivers are rigidly mounted in a reverse-wrap cabinet stiffened by the Space Frame Bracing, for bass that stays controlled and remarkably precise. Four finishes are available: Stealth Black, Warm White, Light Walnut and Dark Walnut.
