The 703 S3 takes the Tweeter-on-Top configuration of the 702 S3 into a more contained format. It suits rooms of ordinary size without giving up scale.
The 25 mm carbon dome tweeter sits in a solid body placed on top of the cabinet. This mechanical decoupling keeps cabinet vibration away from the dome. The grille is left off so dispersion stays free.
The 150 mm Continuum FST midrange runs without a conventional surround. The Continuum cone controls material break-up and leaves the midrange free of colouration. Voices and instruments keep their timbre.
Two 165 mm Aerofoil bass drivers reach down to 46 Hz. The dimpled Flowport moves air without chuffing, and the braced cabinet keeps the bass tight. Sensitivity 90 dB, recommended amplifier power 30 to 200 W. Three finishes are available: Gloss Black, Satin White and Mocha.
