The 704 S3 is the slimmest floorstander of the 700 Series. Its small footprint makes it easy to place, and it keeps the range's Continuum FST midrange.
The 25 mm carbon dome tweeter is mounted in a solid tube decoupled from the cabinet. Cabinet vibration never reaches the dome. Treble gains in fineness and composure.
The 130 mm Continuum FST midrange runs without a conventional surround. The Continuum cone controls material break-up and leaves the midrange free of colouration. Voices and instruments keep their timbre.
Two 130 mm Aerofoil bass drivers reach down to 48 Hz. The dimpled Flowport moves air without chuffing, and the braced cabinet keeps the bass tight. Sensitivity 88 dB, recommended amplifier power 30 to 150 W. Three finishes are available: Gloss Black, Satin White and Mocha.
