The Platinum C250 3G replaces both the C150 2G and the C350 2G of the previous generation. Its cabinet is 630 mm wide, 225 mm high and 325.7 mm deep, for 25.4 kg. It pairs with any speaker in the Platinum series.
A 2.5-inch RDT III midrange covers the band from 850 Hz to 3.5 kHz. Two 6-inch RDT III woofers work below it, the MPD III tweeter above.
The cabinet is sealed, with no port. Response reaches 48 Hz free-field and 30 Hz in a room, at -6 dB.
Sensitivity is 88 dB for 2.83 V at one metre. Monitor Audio recommends 150 to 600 W, with 300 W continuous handling. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms, minimum 4.0 ohms at 150 Hz.
