Four ES9018K2M converters run at up to 384 kHz/32-bit in PCM and 11.2 MHz in DSD. Ultra AL32 processing upsamples the signal to smooth the waveform. On SACD, the signal-to-noise ratio reaches 122 dB and distortion falls to 0.0005 %.
Designed by Denon, the mechanism follows the S.V.H. principle for fast loading and precise disc rotation. It plays SACDs, CDs, CD-R/RW and burned DVDs. From the latter, WAV, FLAC and AIFF play at up to 192 kHz/24-bit, and DSD at up to 5.6 MHz.
The output stage is a fully discrete differential amplifier that delivers 2.2 Vrms through an RCA output machined from brass. A high-performance master clock times the conversion. Pure Direct mode switches off the display and the digital outputs to reduce interference.
The central front panel is aluminium, in black or silver, on a 16.8 kg chassis. The aluminium-topped remote control also operates the PMA-3000NE amplifier. One optical and one coaxial output feed an external DAC, and a stereo RCA cable is included.
