The S.V.H. Loader mechanism, designed by Denon, plays CDs, SACDs and CD-R/RW. The transformers sit close to the feet to send their vibrations to the floor, away from neighbouring circuits. A symmetrical circuit and separate rectifiers for the analogue and digital sections complete the isolation.
The Advanced AL32 Processing Plus filter interpolates the signal to rebuild a waveform closer to the analogue original. It feeds a 32-bit/192 kHz Burr-Brown PCM1795 DAC, clocked by a master clock. On SACD, the response extends from 2 Hz to 50 kHz, with 112 dB of dynamic range.
On DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW, the player reads DSD 2.8 and 5.6 MHz, WAV up to 192 kHz and ALAC up to 96 kHz. MP3, WMA and AAC are supported too, with metadata display. The optical and coaxial outputs send the stream to an external DAC.
The front panel is metal, in black or silver, and the display can be dimmed or switched off. The analogue output uses gold-plated RCA connectors. The power cable is detachable, and the unit weighs 9 kg and measures 434 mm wide.
