MOON 260 DT CD transport, the version of the 260D without a converter. Its proprietary mechanism rests on an M-Quattro floating suspension and outputs over S/PDIF and AES/EBU.

The 260 DT is the transport-only version, without a built-in converter. It is aimed at systems that already have a digital-to-analogue converter. The disc is read, the signal leaves in digital form, the conversion happens elsewhere.
The proprietary transport rests on a four-point gel-based M-Quattro floating suspension. This mounting damps the vibrations that reach the disc platform. The ambience and imaging information on the disc comes through preserved.
The unit offers one S/PDIF output and one AES/EBU output. The choice between the two depends on the converter connected and on the cable length. Both formats are available at the same time on the rear panel.
The 260 DT passes the MQA data engraved on the disc as it is, at the digital output. An MQA-certified converter then takes care of the decoding. For systems without an external converter, MOON offers an optional DAC and analogue output module dedicated to the 260 DT.
