Place the record on the turntable, press start: the CS 529’s tonearm lifts, positions itself at the beginning of the groove, plays the side, and returns to its resting position on its own when finished. The mechanism also works in manual mode when you want to skip to a specific track. It offers the convenience of an automatic turntable without the flimsy, imprecise tonearm that usually comes with it.
The CS 529 transmits the signal via Bluetooth 5.2 with the aptX HD codec to a wireless speaker or headphones and can be controlled from a smartphone. The wired RCA output remains available as well, compatible with both phono and line-level inputs. It supports two modes of use: the main system via cable, and wireless listening as a secondary option.
An optical sensor monitors the motor’s rotation and continuously corrects the speed, keeping wow and flutter within ±0.08% (DIN). The cast aluminum platter and precision drive belt complete the system. The factory-installed Ortofon 2M Red cartridge translates this stability into accurate tonal balance.
The double-gimbal tonearm, mounted on ball bearings, guides the cartridge with the precision of the CS series, featuring a sub-chassis damped by silent blocks. The MDF plinth is walnut-veneered, and a dust cover is included. The 529 combines automation, wireless connectivity, and a wood finish on a single turntable.
