The TT-4 MK2 builds on the EISA award-winning TT-4 and strengthens its damping. A thick rubber layer under the 1730 g aluminium platter limits the vibrations reaching the record. The MDF plinth and belt drive complete this heavy construction.
The Ortofon 2M Blue moving magnet cartridge comes fitted as standard. Its Nude Elliptical stylus, cut entirely from diamond, delivers clean and open playback. Recommended tracking force is 1.8 g, and the arm accepts cartridges from 4.9 to 10.9 g.
The carbon fibre and aluminium tonearm combines lightness with rigidity, with an effective length of 8.8 inches and an effective mass of 16.2 g. Its ATS technology relies on a small aperture along the underside of the arm, which removes torsional resonances without changing its weight or stiffness. The stated signal-to-noise ratio is 67 dB.
The built-in RIAA stage, designed by Argon Audio for MM cartridges, lets the turntable connect to any amplifier or pair of active speakers. When switched off, it has no effect on the signal path, leaving room for an external phono stage. The TT-4 MK2 is offered in matte black, matte white and walnut veneer.
