The TT-3 PLUS rests on a thick MDF plinth and a damped 700 g aluminium platter. Decoupling feet complete this stable base, which reduces distortion caused by vibration. Belt drive was chosen for its long-term reliability.
The turntable comes with a factory-fitted Ortofon 2M Red moving magnet cartridge. Recommended tracking force is 1.8 g. The stated signal-to-noise ratio reaches 67 dB, and wow and flutter does not exceed 0.06%.
The tonearm combines carbon fibre and aluminium, a light and durable material, for an effective length of 8.8 inches and an effective mass of 21.3 g. It features Argon Audio's patent-pending ATS (Anisotropic Torsion Stabilizer) technology, aimed at clearer sound. A single rotary knob switches between 33 and 45 rpm.
An RIAA stage for MM cartridges is built in and can be turned off with a switch on the rear. The TT-3 PLUS therefore connects directly to an amplifier or active speakers, or to an external phono stage once the circuit is switched off. A 1.0 m RCA cable, a power supply with a 1.5 m lead and a dust cover are supplied.
