The MSX Sub 300 has a dedicated 300 W amplifier, more powerful than the one in the MSX Sub 200. The power reserve keeps the bass under control as the volume rises. The matt cabinet, in black or white, measures 266 x 315 x 278 mm and weighs 7.5 kg.
An active 8-inch driver works with a passive radiator of the same size. Together they move more air than a simple port and reach down to 31 Hz at -6 dB, up to 200 Hz. The subwoofer keeps depth and precision from a small cabinet volume.
A digital signal processor (DSP) manages the subwoofer's response in real time and keeps the bass tight as the listening level rises. Two settings adjust the MSX Sub 300 to the room: the crossover frequency ranges from 50 to 200 Hz, and the phase from 0 to 180 degrees to align the subwoofer with the speakers.
The MSX Sub 300 pairs with the MSX 20 or a larger MSX set, for more scale and headroom. It connects through a low-level RCA pair. A pass-through RCA output lets you add a second device, and power on is automatic. Its compact size fits into a corner or beside a piece of furniture.
